Code 95 – Certificate of Professional Competence
Code 95 is an entry in the driver’s license confirming the qualifications required to transport passengers or goods safely and in compliance with EU regulations.
All drivers holding a category D or D+E license who want to work officially in Poland or other EU countries must complete the Code 95 training course.
- Drivers who obtained category D before 09.09.2008 can take a short training and receive Code 95 without an additional exam.
- Drivers who obtained category D after 09.09.2008 must complete a full training course once, which ends with a 30-question exam covering all material from the course. Every 5 years, a short refresher course is required to maintain the professional qualification.
This is in accordance with Directive 2003/59/EC of the European Parliament and Council, 15 July 2003.
Important: When the CPC expires, the driver loses the right to perform professional duties unless periodic training, including medical and psychological assessments, has been completed.
