About the offer
We are looking for warehouse workers in Germany, in Cologne (Köln). The company provides services for online stores: it processes orders and returns, handles sales and customer service, and ships goods to customers.
Job Description
- picking and packing orders; tasks are assigned flexibly depending on the current order volume;
- picking orders using a paper pick list, which shows the codes of high-bay racks, shelf numbers, a description of the item in Polish, the number of pieces, and the cart number;
- locating items on the racks using the pick list, without a scanner;
- placing items into the boxes on the cart: each cart holds 11 boxes, 1 box = 1 customer;
- transporting picked orders to the packing area;
- packing and preparing goods for shipment according to instructions.
Working conditions
- gradual onboarding: during the first 2 weeks new employees wear yellow vests, during the next 2 weeks orange vests, and after the 4-week introductory period they wear standard clothing;
- working time is recorded with an RFID system: employees swipe their card when entering and leaving the site, and each time they go on a break and return from it;
- signs and materials in the warehouse are in Polish and German;
- many team members are from Poland or speak Polish.
Requirements
- readiness for physical work;
- attention to detail and accuracy when working with pick lists;
- basic understanding of Polish (pick lists are written in Polish).
Work schedule
Work from Monday to Saturday, Sunday is always a day off. On Mondays work starts at 6:00 (high volume of goods after the weekend), from Tuesday to Saturday start times are flexible, between 6:00 and 8:00. 168–180 hours per month, no overtime.
Salary
Hourly rate: 15.33€. Monthly earnings: 2575–2759€.
Salary is paid in a single payment.
