Meterik is a small, quiet village located in the southeastern Netherlands, in the province of Limburg. It is part of the Horst aan de Maas municipality and has around 1,000 residents. The village lies at an elevation of about 25 metres above sea level, surrounded by farmland and greenhouse areas. Meterik is situated close to Horst (approximately 5 km) and Venlo (around 20 km), providing easy access to larger towns and employment centres.
Meterik has a clearly rural character, with family houses and a calm living environment. Most shops, schools, and services are available in nearby Horst. Thanks to its proximity to the A73 motorway and good local road connections, Meterik is a convenient place to live for people working in agriculture, production, or logistics in the Limburg region.
