Meijel is a peaceful, well-maintained village located in the southeastern Netherlands, in the province of Limburg. It is part of the Peel en Maas municipality and has around 6,000 residents. The village lies about 32 metres above sea level, roughly 25 kilometres from Venlo and 30 kilometres from Weert.
Meijel has a mixed residential and agricultural character, with several industrial and logistics companies operating nearby. The village centre features shops, supermarkets, schools, restaurants, a bank, a pharmacy, and bus connections to Panningen, Helden, and Deurne. The surroundings are green and peaceful — close to the De Groote Peel nature reserve, a popular area for walking and cycling.
